Day 18 – 30 Houses in 30 Days

Smith House, Wood Street and 3rd Avenue, ink on watercolour paper, 2017.

This is Smith House, located adjacent to Lepage Park in downtown Whitehorse. According to the Yukon Register of Historic Places, it was built in 1905 by a man named Jack Smith (go figure!). After that it changed hands many times until the City of Whitehorse bout it and renovated it in the 1980’s. It’s cute and I’ve drawn it before, but many years ago when I worked at the Yukon Theatre across the street. Click the link for more info.
